Is it possible to return my rug?

Our top priority is your complete satisfaction! If you are not satisfied with your purchase, you can return the items within 7 days of receiving your order for a full refund. Please note that you will be responsible for paying the return shipping fees and any customs charges. How much does shipping cost?

We provide FREE SHIPPING to most international destinations. Your order will be processed within 1 to 3 days through DHL EXPRESS, and you can anticipate delivery of your rug within 5 to 8 business days after it is dispatched.

Do you charge sales taxe?

The rug price already includes taxes. For shipments outside the United States, any applicable taxes will be calculated and added to the shipping arrangements.

How do I clean my rug?

Upon receiving the rug, it is advisable to unpack it promptly to minimize the occurrence of creases or marks resulting from its rolled-up state during shipping. Allow the rug to settle naturally for a few days, and you will notice the creases gradually disappearing.

When it comes to cleaning, if you have sufficient space available, take the rug outside and vigorously shake it at least once every two weeks.

In the event that the rug is too large or you lack ample space, a weekly vacuuming routine will suffice. However, ensure that the vacuum you use does not possess a brush, rotating motor-head, or anything that might pull the natural fibers. Opt for low-power settings and utilize the flat nozzle attachment. In the case of rugs with a high pile, vacuum in the direction of the pile and remember to lift the nozzle after each movement.

Feel free to flip the rug and vacuum the reverse side as well, as this will help remove any debris that may have accumulated within the piles.

To maintain the rug's cleanliness and prevent the formation of bacteria in low-traffic or shaded areas, we recommend rotating the rug every 3-6 months. Additionally, it would be beneficial to remove any furniture placed on the rug, vacuum the area thoroughly, and prevent the buildup of bacteria.

In the event of a spill, you can perform spot cleaning on the affected area. Simply use water and non-chemical soap, and gently dab with a towel.

It is important to note that shedding is a natural characteristic of our rugs, as we employ natural wool fibers. This shedding should gradually diminish within a few weeks following delivery. If you happen to notice any loose knots throughout the lifespan of the rug, please refrain from pulling on the wool. Instead, carefully cut the loose part.

Lastly, please be aware that direct sunlight can cause the colors of the rug to fade over time.

Will the rug I receive look the same as the picture I see online?

Absolutely! Our rugs are photographed using natural light to provide an authentic representation. However, please consider that there may be slight variations in color due to the settings of your phone or computer monitor. Furthermore, since our customized rugs are meticulously crafted by hand, variations in pattern, color, and exact size (with a potential deviation of up to 10 centimeters on either side) are inherent due to the organic nature of the materials. Nonetheless, we make every effort to accurately capture the intricate details and colors in our product images, ensuring that you have a clear understanding of what to expect.

May I inquire about the status of my custom rug order?

We make regular visits to the artisans every two to three weeks to document the weaving progress of your custom rug. Rest assured, you will receive email updates either from our operations team or directly from the artisan, keeping you informed about the latest developments. Once the rug is ready to be shipped, our team will provide you with a tracking number within a timeframe of 8 to 10 to 12 weeks.

Is there any expedited method for receiving my custom rug earlier?

If you're in a hurry, you can reach out to us at info@ourtanrugs.com, and we will try our best to speed up the process. However, please keep in mind that weaving a rug by hand takes time!

From the moment I place my custom rug order, what is the expected time frame for delivery?

Your order will be processed within 24 hours and forwarded directly to our skilled weavers, who will begin handcrafting your custom piece without delay. The entire procedure of sourcing, shearing, spinning, dyeing, weaving, washing, and shipping your rug requires between 8 and 10 weeks. However, please note that during the winter season, the drying process may be extended slightly, so we kindly ask that you allow for an additional 1-2 weeks for delivery.

For existing one-of-a-kind orders, we strive for our orders to arrive at your door within 7-10 business days.

How do I know when my order has shipped?

Once your rug departs from Agadir, we will promptly provide you with a tracking number so you can keep track of its voyage to your doorstep, regardless of where you are in the world.
